Match the product, then follow the notice

Check whether a Walmart product recall affects your item

A recall is about a defined set of products. The brand name or a similar photograph alone is not enough to establish whether your item is included.

THE USEFUL PART FIRST

Start with Walmart's official recall index and open the linked notice. Match the model, lot, date code, or other identifying information, then follow that notice's instructions. If you cannot establish whether your product is affected, contact the recall representative named in the notice before further use.

Compare the identifiers carefully

Have the product, packaging, and purchase record available if you can do so safely. Find the location of the identifying label from the notice. A model number differs from a retailer's order number, so do not substitute one for the other.

Check every limit in the notice: the product name, model, lot or date information where supplied, and any distinguishing description. Keep the notice link with your records.

Ozark Trail stove: a specific confirmed example

CPSC's November 26, 2025 notice covers Ozark Trail Tabletop 1-Burner Butane Camping Stoves, model BG2247A1. The notice identifies a burn and fire hazard and instructs consumers to stop using the recalled stove immediately and return it to a Walmart retail store for a full refund.

Use the linked CPSC notice to locate the model label and read the full instructions. This example does not mean every Ozark Trail stove, water bottle, or camping product is affected by that recall.

Follow the remedy for that notice

A recall remedy may differ from an ordinary merchandise return. Follow the named process and ask the recall contact about missing receipts or other questions. Do not invent a repair or continue using a recalled product to test whether the reported problem happens.

Save any confirmation that the remedy was completed. If the product was a gift, share the official notice with the person who has it rather than only forwarding a headline.

Questions that come up

Does a familiar product photo prove mine is recalled?

No. Match the identifiers and scope in the official notice.

Should I follow the normal return window?

Use the recall notice's specific remedy and contact instructions. An ordinary return policy is not a substitute for the recall process.
