Using this site

AisleCompass is an independent shopping information site. You do not need an account to read guides or use the tools. We do not ask for retailer account credentials, payment details, or order access.

Information kept in your browser

Saved guides and shopping lists use your browser's local storage. They remain on that device and browser; our application does not send them to the server. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser. You can remove individual saved items or clear this site's data in your browser settings.

Comments and messages you submit

If you submit a comment, we store the display name, comment text, page identifier, submission time, and moderation status. Approved comments display your chosen name and text publicly. Messages sent through the contact form are stored for review and are not published automatically.

Do not submit sensitive information or information about another person without permission. To request removal of your contribution, use the contact form, identify the page and text, and provide enough context to distinguish your submission. We may need to establish that the request concerns your own information.

Technical information

The site and hosting infrastructure process information needed to deliver pages and protect forms, such as request times, IP addresses, and browser request headers. The application uses a temporary in-memory request limit to reduce spam. It does not store IP addresses in the comment or feedback database. Hosting providers may retain operational logs under their own policies.

Cookies and advertising

We currently do not run advertising tags, third-party analytics, or advertising cookies. Essential infrastructure may process requests to deliver and secure the site. If advertising or additional measurement is introduced, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated before those services are enabled.

Links to Walmart, maps, and other sources take you to independent services with their own privacy practices. They are not embedded account connections. We do not send your shopping list or calculator entries with those links.

Retention and requests

Published comments remain until removed as part of moderation or an applicable removal request. Pending submissions and contact messages are retained while they serve their review or correction purpose. We do not sell submitted personal information. Use the contact form for a privacy or deletion request; do not include identity documents or passwords.

This notice describes the site's current behavior and will be updated if that behavior changes.
