Identify the seller and the item
Walmart hosts items from Marketplace sellers as well as products sold by Walmart. The item page identifies the seller. Fulfillment by Walmart and sale by Walmart are different details, so read both when they are shown.
Confirm the selected size, color, pack quantity, and condition after making changes. Search-result images often represent a family of variants. The version in your cart is the one that determines the order.
Choose how you need to receive it
Compare the options actually offered for your address and item. Local delivery, store pickup, and parcel shipping are different arrangements. An item visible online is not automatically available at a nearby store.

Inspect the entire order
Review quantities, fees, taxes, discounts, and any optional additions. Read the applicable return information for expensive or time-sensitive purchases. Do not assume every seller and product follows the same return process.
After payment, save the confirmation and check Purchase History. If you need to change something, use the edit or cancellation options available for that order promptly. Walmart notes that available changes depend on the order's status; a request is not complete until the outcome is confirmed.
For a gift or event, judge the actual estimated arrival rather than a general shipping slogan. Leave a practical margin if the item is essential to your plans.
