Walmart Hours: Store Closing Times and Department Schedules

Find the opening and closing time for your store

Open Walmart’s official store finder, enter a ZIP code or city and state, and choose the address you will visit. Read the Store Info schedule for the relevant day. A search-result title containing your city is not enough: large cities have several locations, and the nearest one might be a Neighborhood Market rather than the Supercenter you intended.

Save the store number with the address. That number makes it easier to recognize the same location in an order, a map result or a telephone conversation. If a general weekly timetable and a date-specific holiday notice disagree, use the dated notice for that visit and call the store if the conflict remains unresolved. Do not treat an old screenshot as a current opening-time guarantee.

Two Orlando examples: the doors and counters close at different times

These are regular schedules published on two official store pages when reviewed, not a nationwide policy. They show how a late errand can work at one part of the building and fail at another. All times are local to the stores.

Choose the counter that actually handles your task

For a prescription, open Pharmacy and check its own schedule and any break. For an oil change, use Auto Care Center hours and the appointment arrangement. For glasses, check Vision Center and ask about the eye-exam provider if you need an examination. None of these services should be assumed available until the main store closes.

For a return, the service desk’s timetable is the relevant starting point. A money transfer, check-cashing request or another financial service belongs with that counter’s hours and requirements. For a custom cake or photo order, use the promised pickup arrangement as well as the department schedule. An open bakery does not mean a custom order is already complete.

Work backward from the service closing time

Suppose a service desk closes at 10 p.m., the drive takes 25 minutes and you want 20 minutes to park, reach the counter and explain the return. Leaving at 9:15 p.m. uses that entire 45-minute allowance. Leaving at 9:40 p.m. would arrive after the planned buffer, even though the main store might remain open another hour. This is a planning example, not a promised queue or processing time.

Allow extra margin for tasks with intake requirements, documents, vehicle inspection or several items. Closing time is not an appointment and does not guarantee that a new service can start immediately before the counter closes. When timing is tight, call the specific department and describe what you need done rather than asking only whether Walmart is still open.

Keep shopping hours separate from your order’s status

A pickup reservation or order confirmation does not by itself mean the items are ready. Open the existing order and look for the ready notice and collection instructions before setting off. The chosen pickup store is part of that order; switching the store used for browsing does not prove an existing order moved to another location.

For a mixed basket, check whether some items are shipping separately. A parcel’s estimated arrival date is different from a store-pickup time, and a store closing time cannot resolve a carrier delay. For overnight and holiday visits, check the date explicitly

Do not assume Walmart is open 24 hours because you remember an older schedule. Use the current store page for the particular address. A closing time of 11:59 p.m. is also different from round-the-clock operation: the example Turkey Lake Road page still gives a 6 a.m. opening time. Plan an overnight errand from the displayed opening and closing times, not the store’s size.

Holiday operations can differ from a regular weekly schedule, and departments may be affected separately.
