Compare exact dimensions, construction, foundation requirements and seller terms. Confirm what the delivery includes and how the model must be unpacked and maintained. Do not assume a manufacturer's direct-sale trial or a different Walmart seller's terms apply to your purchase.
Measure the frame and the route to the room
Confirm the mattress dimensions against the frame or platform you will use. A familiar size name is only a starting point; include the mattress thickness when thinking about total bed height, bedding and any surrounding furniture.
Measure the delivery route and read the package details. A compressed mattress and a full-size delivered mattress create different moving and setup tasks. Check whether the service stops at the doorway or includes another arrangement before planning around help that is not in the order.
Check the manufacturer's support requirements
Read what the model requires beneath it: the compatible frame, platform or foundation and any specific support conditions. Do not assume the base from your previous mattress is suitable because the width and length match.
Treat comfort descriptions as descriptions, not medical promises. A firmness label cannot establish how you will experience a mattress, and an online review cannot diagnose what your body needs. If a particular feel matters, compare the construction and the actual return conditions instead of relying on a universal best ranking.

Keep seller terms separate from brand advertising
Walmart carries multiple mattress brands and Marketplace sellers. Record who sells the selected item and read the return information on that offer. A trial advertised by a manufacturer for purchases made directly from its own site is not automatically part of a Walmart transaction.
Likewise, a warranty is different from a comfort trial or a store return. Identify what documents and setup conditions the warranty requires. If any part is unclear, ask the seller about the exact model before ordering, and keep the response with the purchase record.
Read the care label before removing anything
Prepare the room and support before opening compressed packaging. Follow the model's expansion and setup guidance, and inspect the delivered product against the order. Keep labels and purchase information accessible.
Do not assume a zippered outer cover is washable or removable. Zinus explicitly tells owners not to remove its mattress covers and publishes cleaning instructions instead. Apply the instructions for your own model; a zipper alone is not permission to take a cover off. Choose any protector or bedding with the mattress's dimensions and care requirements in mind.

Can I remove a mattress cover because it has a zipper?
